Angelo Lascelles

CAST

For the past eighteen years, Angelo has been performing on the theatre stage, working with a diverse group of directors and actors who have shaped his perspective on the magic of the theatre.

Some of his credits include: “How Hard the Times” (2014), “Angel in White” (2015), “A Caribbean Dream” (2015), “Sounds of Resistance: Echoes of Change” (2015), “From Bussa to Barrow and Beyond” (2016) and “What’s Good for the Goose” (2018), to name a few.

Having joined Laff-it-Off in 2016, Angelo has had a rollercoaster of experiences and characters over the years some which have become crowd favourites including his impersonation of former Prime Minister Stuart. Angelo sees the Laff-it-Off stage as a place for the fullness of expression and comedic education. In 2023, he made his debut directing the Laff-it-Off show of that year; “Nuh Name, Nuh Blame, Nuh Lock Up” is his third time directing a Laff-it-Off show.

Beyond Laff-it-Off, he has functioned as a judge for the National Independence Festival of Creative Arts (NIFCA), he is a public speaker, a voice actor, an educator, a student of law and an aviation enthusiast to name a few.

Angelo views the theatre as a place of escape for the cast, crew and audience; it is a place where the “make believe” can educate, entertain and stimulate.
