Do it with passion or not at all! This has been the mantra for comedienne, poet, emcee, voice actor, director, scriptwriter and actress Janine White. She is as diverse as her list of accomplishments and talents which include; pageant queen, hairdresser, make-up artist, cook and banker by profession. This effervescent lady enjoys time on stage as a dynamic theatre practitioner.

Her skills as a poet have taken her to Washington D. C to compete at the International Symposium of Poets, where she was recognized as a Poet of Merit at the event. She has also competed in the National Independence Festival of Creative Arts ( NIFCA) where she won NIFCA Bronze and several Silver award she also won the Alfred Pragnell Award for theatre along with 3 other awards recognizing her skills in theatre and the performing arts.

Janine is also the winner of a Gold Award, for Most Promising Presentation by an individual and the Prime Ministers Scholarship. Recognized by Barbados Faces as one of the distinguished women in Barbados and was featured on their website. Janine has also been selected as a mentor for challenged teen girls and volunteers with several NGOs in Barbados including the CIBC Walk for the Cure committee. She sits on several committees in her beloved parish of St. Peter on the National and community-based levels.

Janine is known as a hilarious comedienne and Emcee and has even hosted calypso tents like the C. O. Williams House of Soca calypso tent along with other private shows. She has also been performing with the leading theatre group in Barbados LAFF-IT-OFF from 2014 and has travelled to the Caribbean, USA, UK and Canada with this theatre group as well as the National Performing Arts Ensemble. She looks forward to developing as a performing artiste and director and is currently working on her first short story.
