It’s Vilmore Johnson and once he is around you know it is time to Laff-It-Off.

“Bringing out the joy and laughter in people is what I live for, life is about enjoyment and a person should have the opportunity to enjoy the funnier side of life”

Once the fun and games are over, we have to return to our personal situations, but for that one brief period, we get to experience something that takes us to another place, a place of happiness and joy. This is why I do what I do, I go on stage to create that energy for the patrons, to play my part in giving them that “window of wackiness”.

So I am back with the Laff-It-Off Crew again and it is going to be wild, better than the first time. It is also always great to interact with people who have seen and appreciate your work, as this is what makes me go on stage, time and time again.

My acting career started back at the Christ Church Foundation School and since then I have worked with most of the theatre groups in Barbados including Stage One Productions, WWB Productions, Green Room Players, Bajan Bus Stop and the list goes on. Productions such as Talk Tent, Smile Orange, Two and Two makes sex, Growing Up Stupid under the Union Jack, Pampalam to mention a few. I have also done a few musicals – Sobie and Bimshire, while making appearances in a few films.

In addition to acting, I perform during Crop Over under the stage name Villain in the House of Soca Calypso Tent, with a few big hits like Teachuh, Passenger, Pumping All Day, Blame Soca, Gracias and Somebody. I now working on a big one for the new year.

So it is time to get ready for Laff-It-Off 2025, as the production celebrates a significant milestone in 40 years, its time to play those roles, time to bring that energy, and make this the best Laff-it-Off ever”.
